Description

Industar-22
Lens in Leica Threadmount

The Industar-22 design was “borrowed”
from Leitz Elmar. It was an improved version of a prewar collapsible FED
lens (also known as Industar-10).

The Industar-22 was a standard lens on the early
Zorki cameras (Zorki, Zorki-S, some of Zorki-2S’) and was also a popular
enlarger lens in the USSR in the 60’s.

A nice, mostly sharp lens. My example is not the best sample for quality that was aquired from a, sorry Yuri, I got it from a friend. Still does a very good job. I’m sure the same I-22 lens here would be even better. The sharpness was stable as long as you don’t open it up too much, say 5.6. However, I’ve gotten surprisingly good in low light and wide open with 200 ISO film. So if I get around to needing another 50mm on my FED-2, yes the Industar-22 would be nice.
