Description
The Kiev IIa is a true Contax II copy and was in production at Arsenal factory in Kiev in 1955-1959. Kiev IIa is practically identical to the Contax II – it even features a stabilizing foot on the bottom plate. This model adds a useful feature – a flash synch.
This Kiev IIa was made in 1957.
The specifications are the same as Contax II’s.

The camera is in GOOD+ condition,
shows its age and use, but clean and attractive. There are some minor
paint scuffs on the edges of the body, no brassing on the chrome parts.
The leather covering is complete and clean. The RF/VF is clear. The lens
is also clean and clear. The shutter, flash synch, and self-timer are working properly.
The Kiev IIa is much less common than its successors – Kiev 4a and 4am. It is

My first order from Fedka was flawless in all regards. The Kiev 2A/Jupiter 8 was very conservatively graded, smooth in all functions and with clean glass. When I asked about the fiddly plastic take-up spool that was complicating film loading, Yuri came up with a more Contax-like metal spool which he sent at no charge. I received my Kiev as a present on my birthday. My Kiev is a lovely camera, mostly due to the excellent CLA it had received before I received it, everything is very smooth and the camera is a joy to use, I cant wait to get my first roll tomorrow. One very minor problem with my camera was some slight cleaning marks around the edge of the front lens element, this is very very unlikely to make any difference to the optical quality of the lens (I have a lubitel with a huge (covering half of the lens) mark and thats fine), but the lens was completely free of any other marks or fungus (which is the worst). All in all a wonderful camera at a great price, from a very honest and knowledgeable seller. Recommended.

The camera and lens exceeded my expectations and Yuri was very diligent in checking the condition prior to processing my order. He found the rangefinder was out of adjustment and put the camera through a CLA before he shipped it to me. Will definitely buy from him again.
