Soviet Jupiter-3 lens in Contax RF Mount
This lens is a copy of the famous Zeiss Sonnar 50/1.5. It was initially made for the Kiev line in Contax/Kiev bayonet mount and later – in Leica thread mount. The lens is sharp and contrasty, and even at maximum aperture produces great images.
Focal length: 52.4 mm
Aperture 1:1.5 (from 1.5 to 22)

Filter size M40.5×0.5 mm
Optical registration (back focus) 34.85 +/-0.02 mm
Contax/Kiev Internal Bayonet, can be used on any pre- and postwar Contax or any Kiev.
The glass is coated, the barrel has a chrome finish. The lens is in GOOD+ condition, there are some cleaning marks on the front element, signs of age on the barrel. These flaws are very minor and would not affect image quality or lens performance in any way.
The Jupiter-3 comes with the front cap.
The Jupiter-3 is uncommon; it was sold as a separate interchangeable lens. I believe it never came as a standard Kiev RF equipment.

The glass was a bit scratched and frosted on the first lens, but complaint and return was easy, and the replacement lens was almost immaculate and nearly mint, the best Jupiter 3 I’ve seen on anything. Thank you, Yuri.
