Description
The Russian Helios-44 is a great normal lens for the Soviet Zenit line of SLR cameras. This particular
lens has a 42 mm SLR mount, and was intended for use with the M42 Zenits or any other SLRs with a M42 mount.
The aperture is a “preset” type – there are two rings. You set the aperture with one (it has stop-clicks), and after the focusing is completed, you close the aperture to the preset value with the second ring without taking your eye from the viewfinder. The lens has a built-in 3/8″ tripod mount.
The lens is fast, with a well-controlled depth-of-field. It is ideal for portrait and available light photography.

This Helios-44 is in excellent condition, the exterior shows some use, mechanics are smooth and the glass
is clean. You can see some dust specks inside; they are minor and will not affect image quality.
The lens is shown on a Zenit SLR (camera not included)
