The Kiev-4m is a really a nice solid piece of history. The rangefinder is incredibly accurate because of its long base. The brass shutter has a very different sound to it than anything I've heard before. The lens is nice and sharp and extra lenses aren't very expensive. While not as convenient to use as a modern point and shoot, the Kiev-4m is not a difficult camera to use - you just have to use your head a little which is what I think is the fun part of photography. Where else can you get an interchangable lens rangefinder camera for this kind of money. And as always, Yuri's cameras are not a gamble; they are fairly represented and he will go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied.
