Many thanks to Yuri for his excellent service. He has a very high reputation for looking after his customers.
After having had two FED-2s that weren't working as well as i'd been assured by certain eBay sellers I was starting to lose faith in FSU camera's. The guys over at RANGEFINDERFORUM.COM and PHOTO.NET had many good things to say about him, so much so that I decided to give him a try and have been thoroughly impressed by his personal but professional service.
I wanted a nice FSU RangeFinder camera and liked the look of the FED-3a. I chose this particular model as it is a slightly rarer version having only been in production for a short while.
I mailed Yuri with some questions about the camera. He promptly mailed me back (within 24 hours) to say that the camera was in fine working order and he gave me a choice of lenses. Throughout the transaction he kept me fully updated as to the order status. He even gave me an offer of upgrading to a more collectible model which I took him up on and was glad that I did so.
A little over a week later my order arrived safely and amazingly well packed.
I am now the proud owner of a fully CLA'd FED3a complete in it's original box, with original manual (in Russian no less!), Passport for body and lens and leather case. I also purchased a 40.5mm Yellow Filter for B&W work and a 40.5mm metal lens hood.
Yuri comes highly recommended from me. If you want an FSU camera you can rest assured that FEDKA.COM won't let you down. Sure, you pay a little extra but in the end you get a camera the peace of mind of having a model that works as it should do right out of the box.
Thanks Yuri!
