You can now have your FED or Zorki CLA'd (Cleaned, Lubricated, Adjusted) or repaired (all repairs also include CLA).

Our repairman is an expert in all film cameras, from prewar Leicas and Contaxes to the latest Nikons and Canons. He has been working on Soviet cameras and lenses since the early 1970s. Practically any make or model can be serviced and repaired. There are very few exceptions and they are caused by lack of spare parts for a particular model.

A typical CLA (Cleaning, Lubrication, Adjustment) includes the following steps:

• Camera inspection and evaluation
• Partial or full disassembly
• Shutter is inspected and either serviced or repaired
• Old dried grease is removed from the moving parts and fresh lube is applied.
• The camera is assembled and fully tested.

Shutter repair usually involves curtain replacement (in the cameras with cloth curtains) or ribbon replacement (on Kievs and Contaxes).

All repairs come with 6 months warranty for parts and labor. Shipping to and from our repair department is paid by the customer.

In order to send your camera for service or repair, please place and order for your particular camera or lens. The payment includes CLA or repair and shipping of your camera back to you. After placing your order you will receive instructions with the shipping information. We strongly recommend shipping your equipment insured with some sort of tracking option.

Please note that the price for CLA or repair will cover most situations. If shutter curtains need to be replaced, extra charge applies. Please select the Shutter Repair option below if needed (otherwise select None).

However, if any extra work or materials are required (which is common, for example, on prewar FED-NKVDs) we will e-mail you an estimate for an additional payment. If you do not agree with it, the camera is sent back to you and you receive full credit (less shipping).
